Who we are
The United Brethren Church in Canada is a protestant, evangelical denomination of Bible-believing Christians. Our 12 churches are all located in southern Ontario. Congregations can be found in a variety of communities and offer a diverse range of ministries and ministry styles. More churches are being planted.
Although United Brethren pastors began preaching in Canada in the 1820s, the first permanent work didn’t begin until 1854, following up on the evangelistic efforts of John A. Cornell in Waterloo County. In 1856 the Canada West Conference was established. In 1992 the name was changed to The United Brethren Church in Canada. |
